The Global Entry Program is a program operated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that allows eligible travelers to enter the United States more quickly.
The program is aimed at frequent travelers who want to use automated kiosks at certain airports in the USA to complete entry formalities efficiently and save time. When entering the country, participants can carry out a large part of the border control process themselves, thereby significantly speeding up the border crossing and taking advantage of TSA PreCheck, the expedited security check at US airports.

The Global Entry Program can be used with the Visa Waiver Program (ESTA), non-immigrant and immigrant visas (Green Card).
Accelerated entry via Global Entry is possible with the following visa categories: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H-1B, I, J, L, NATO, O, P, R, TN/TD, V
The following categories are excluded: C, H-1C, H-2A, H-2B, H-2R, H-3, K, M, N, Q, S, T, U,
NOTE: Not the place of residence or birth, but only the nationality is decisive for participation. Global Entry can only be applied for with a valid ePassport.
Please note that the application for Global Entry takes 4-12 weeks on average. This depends on the respective submission of your documents and the availability of processing by the US authorities.
Membership is currently valid for 5 years. Renewed participation in the Global Entry Program is possible after the 5 years have expired. If a renewal application is submitted before the membership expires, the benefits of the membership can be used for a certain period beyond the expiration date.
